Lodge Operations ·To ensure the efficient, effective, and professional management of all departments at the Lodge.·To liaise with guests and maintain effective communication with them, including personalized correspondence.·To ensure that personalized guest experiences are designed and implemented consistently and provided to the respective site inspection guests, when required.·To ensure that the daily guest experience is designed and implemented.·To host meal venues and ensure the smooth operation of functions.·To be always readily available to deal with problems and complaints.·To ensure effective check-in procedures and efficient speedy check-out facilities.·To ensure that complaints, comments, or problems are actioned without delay and that effective follow-up action takes place to avoid a recurrence.·To ensure that guest comments and feedback stats are recorded accurately.·To attend to and host site inspection guests, maintaining a high profile with current and prospective clients.·To ensure all departments cooperate smoothly and seamlessly with each other, ensuring an efficient and professional operation.·To ensure that lodge service standards, hardware, and guest experience levels are met and maintained consistently.·Oversee and drive maintenance programs as and when required.·To ensure that Housekeeping and Maintenance standards are maintained in all public areas, guest rooms, and back of house areas.·To ensure that financial and stock control procedures are adhered to.·Daily lodge communications to ensure that HOD's and Guest Relations and Duty Managers are giving equal attention to all camps.·To ensure daily effective liaison with the Safari team.·To ensure that all staff are correctly and smartly dressed at all times.·To ensure that all public areas are in good working order, clean, and tidy at all times.·To reduce accidents and ensure that all safety hazards are addressed, and potential problems communicated to the General Manager.·To circulate regularly throughout all public areas, maintaining a high profile with guests and staff.·To ensure that you and the team be familiar with all local emergency services and procedures.2. Staff Management ·To provide effective leadership through professional management and encouragement of all subordinates, including mediation.·To carry out regular, meaningful performance appraisals conducted in such a manner that effective, open, two-way communication is maintained.To follow up and ensure that the agreed action and developmental plans identified at these appraisals are being affected.·To ensure that all staff are fully conversant with all company policies and procedures, basic conditions of employment and labor regulations as well as disciplinary codes of the company.·To ensure that training is implemented and maintained.·To maintain effective working relationships with line and staff functions.·To keep an up-to-date and fair hosting roster·To record all leave for employees.·To approve all leave applied for timeously.Package on offer: ·Basic Salary: R45,000 NEG - depending on experienceAccommodation included, as well as meals on dutyShould you feel you are the perfect all-rounder our client is searching for, please apply with your updated CV (full), references and a recent head & shoulders photo ASAP!
