IntroductionOur client in the Hospitality industry is currently looking for a Lodge Maintenance Manager in Wilderness, Garden Route.Duties & ResponsibilitiesSupervise all lodge maintenance operations to ensure safety, functionality, and high standards.Oversee daily lodge activities, coordinating between maintenance and guest services.Develop and implement maintenance schedules, source materials, and manage contracts.Lead and support operations staff, ensuring efficient performance.Manage budget, handle front-office operations, and address guest inquiries and issues.Manage phone services, handle mail and provide information on local options.Conduct safety inspections, enforce regulations, and identify improvement opportunities.Assist staff with tasks like room inspections and hot tub setup.Inspect guest areas for cleanliness, oversee equipment maintenance, and manage shifts.Create and implement policies, stay updated on industry trends, and demonstrate strong organizational skills.Conduct training sessions for staff.Desired Experience & QualificationWork well under pressure and be quick to act in stressful situations.Possess a valid driver's license and vehicle for transportation.A minimum of 2+ years of direct experience in maintenance including electrical, plumbing, woodwork etc.Experience in staff management and project management.Strong commitment to delivering exceptional service and a genuine passion for the industry.Outstanding proficiency in English and Afrikaans language.Excellent managerial and communication abilities.Thorough understanding of basic labour laws and disciplinary procedures.Familiarity with housekeeping and maintenance protocols.Aware of advancements in the food and lodge sectors, as well as global hospitality trends.Diligent work ethic, cooperative attitude, and meticulous attention to detail.Display of assertiveness, patience, and strong organizational skills.Citizenship or possession of a valid working visa.Package & RemunerationUp to R15,000 per month plus room and board.
