Entry Criteria:Matric qualification.Proven track record of at least 2-3 years in production, specifically working with polymers.2-3 Performance Reviews.Competent in various areas/working stations across operations.Experience in material management, including managing Job Cards.Experience implementing World Class and lean manufacturing tools, including 5S.Experience working with quality management systems (e.g., ISO or BRC).Experience managing team performance to deliver objectives OTIF.Experience handling discipline and grievances in an operations environment.Ability to inspire, motivate, and influence others to deliver results.Strong sense of urgency and ability to deliver despite constraints.High levels of integrity and accountability.Experience maximizing operational efficiencies.Experience working in a food safety environment.Strong computer skills, particularly in Excel.Willingness to work night shifts.Communication Device.Roles and Responsibilities:Labour:Allocate tasks and responsibilities to team members based on skills and workload.Ensure efficient use of manpower to meet production goals.Monitor workforce productivity and adjust staffing to meet production targets within budget constraints.Maintain a skills matrix to identify training needs and gaps.Develop and implement training plans to enhance team members' skills.Assess team members' performance and provide feedback for improvement.Verify and approve timesheets for accurate recordkeeping.Approve and submit leave applications.Conduct performance reviews of line leaders, providing constructive feedback and supporting their professional development.Address disciplinary issues promptly and implement corrective actions as necessary while ensuring fairness.Material:Oversee material handling and inventory management using the Translution system.Ensure accurate tracking of materials throughout the production process.Investigate and address issues related to production jobs.Analyze and investigate production variances and close out jobs.Output and Targets:Set daily/hourly targets to ensure quality standards and production schedules are met.Monitor weekly targets and provide feedback up the chain.Maintain accurate and up-to-date shift-related data for reporting purposes.Generate and share shift performance dashboards with relevant stakeholders.Identify potential risks and develop proactive plans to address them.Compliance:Enforce safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.Ensure adherence to established production processes and workflows.Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), specifications, and production documents.Ensure production meets quality standards and take corrective actions if deviations occur.Maintain high housekeeping standards and keep the team accountable for cleaning schedules.
