Summary Statement:The purpose of this position is to upskill, mentor, train, and qualify as a Lifting Machinery Inspector in terms of the Engineering Profession Act, 2000 (Act No. 46 of 2000). Responsibilities include loading testing and issuing certification of material handling equipment (Forklifts) on company and customer premises, ensuring customer and company requirements are met, and maintaining vehicle records.
ProfileKey Performance Areas: Perform accurate diagnosis and troubleshooting in the event of equipment breakdowns; communicate necessary repairs to customers and/or supervisors.Maintain vehicle maintenance and operational data/history by updating and timely communicating information that must go on record.Provide complete customer satisfaction in a polite and professional manner.Ensure proper communication between self and workshop staff (supervisor and controller).Ensure OHSACT requirements are met in all actions on company premises; maintain a safe work environment by verifying vehicle safety device operations, following standards and procedures, and complying with legal regulations.Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.Job LocationAfrica, South Africa
