We have a vacancy for a Licensing Desk Consultant.
Hybrid working model, office based in Centurion.
Job Description
The Licensing Desk Consultant will be responsible for providing accurate and competitive quotes for various software licensing products, including Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider (CSP), Microsoft Open Value (OV), Microsoft Products and Services Agreement (MPSA), Microsoft Campus Agreements, and Adobe Acrobat. This role requires a deep understanding of licensing models, pricing structures, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal teams.
Responsibilities:
1. Quoting Process Management:

Oversee the end-to-end process of generating quotes for Microsoft CSP, OV, MPSA, Campus Agreements, and Adobe Acrobat.
Collaborate with sales teams and customers to gather necessary information for accurate quoting.
Utilize licensing tools and resources to determine the most suitable licensing options for customers' needs.
Ensure all quotes are prepared accurately, reflecting current pricing, terms, and licensing requirements.
Manage multiple quotes simultaneously, prioritizing urgent requests and meeting deadlines.

2. Licensing Compliance:

Maintain a thorough understanding of licensing agreements and compliance requirements for Microsoft and Adobe products.
Ensure all quotes adhere to licensing guidelines and compliance standards.
Verify customer eligibility for specific licensing programs and agreements.
Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to address any licensing-related issues or concerns.

3. Customer Support and Communication:

Serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries related to licensing quotes and agreements.
Provide guidance and clarification to customers regarding licensing options, pricing, and terms.
Address customer concerns or objections effectively, striving to maintain positive relationships.
Communicate proactively with sales teams and customers to provide updates on quote status and resolve any issues promptly.

4. Documentation and Recordkeeping:

Maintain accurate records of all quotes, agreements, and correspondence related to licensing activities.
Ensure proper documentation of licensing terms, pricing, and agreements in internal systems.
Generate reports as needed to track quoting activity, trends, and outcomes.
Support auditing processes by providing necessary documentation and information related to licensing transactions.

5. Understanding Microsoft Licensing Models and M365 Licenses:

Possess a deep understanding of Microsoft licensing models, including per-user vs. per-device licensing, subscription-based models.
Stay up-to-date on the various Microsoft license models (OV, MPSA, Campus and CSP)
Advise clients on selecting the appropriate M365 licenses based on their organizational requirements, user roles, and compliance needs.
Assist clients in understanding the implications of different license options on monthly billing and cost optimization strategies.

Qualifications:
Experience:

Experience with Microsoft licensing programs such as CSP, OV, MPSA, and Campus Agreements is highly desirable.
Familiarity with Adobe licensing models and products, particularly Adobe Acrobat, is an advantage.

Knowledge:

In-depth understanding of software licensing concepts, terms, and agreements.
Proficiency in using licensing tools and resources to generate accurate quotes and determine licensing options.
Knowledge of Microsoft and Adobe product suites and licensing models.
Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements related to software licensing.

Skills:

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex licensing agreements and pricing structures.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in preparing quotes and documentation.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate licensing concepts clearly to internal teams and customers.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality service and support.

Software Proficiency:

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
Familiarity with licensing management tools and software platforms is desirable.
