We are looking for a Legal Officer who will play a pivotal role in leading and managing the legal department and collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders.
The role serves as a vital member of the management team.

Ultimately the candidate will ensure that their area of responsibility meets and exceeds the expectations of our business objectives and contributes to the company s success in the long run.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Manages and heads up the legal department.
Advises on corporate governance and implements mechanisms policies and processes to aid in the effective operation of the business including governance policies business policies and HR policies.
Provide comprehensive guidance on legal compliance and risk management strategies while also spearheading strategic initiatives to develop and enable integrated Legal Risk strategies tools processes and systems to manage Legal risk within the business.
Provide legal advice and guidance to the companys officers and other upper management on all legal matters relevant to the Company and its operations.
Managing the Company s legal matters which includes reviewing negotiation renegotiation and improvement of contracts and other legal documents researching legal issues and recommending revisions or action strategies as necessary.
Establish streamlined administrative processes to enhance departmental efficiency and provide strategic leadership to elevate operational capabilities and provide training to employees on legal and compliance issues relevant to their roles in the company.
Additional Ad Hoc responsibilities and tasks as requested by Senior Management.
Requirements: BCom Law or LLB.
Admitted Attorney/Advocate (advantageous).
Minimum 5 years of experience in the legal profession.
Skills: The ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision and in a highpressure environment.
