Legal Officer

Key Responsibilitiesinclude but not limited to the following:Assisting the General counsel in managing the companys legal and business affairsHave a strong understanding of copyright lawEnsure compliance with relevant legislationResearch legal aspects required by the organization.Review and draft contracts and policies as required by business.Initiating internal infringement processesPrepare and present legal advice and opinionContinuously review and implement dispute resolution processes - counterclaimsLicensing and Service Level contract drafting, review and negotiationsAttend and present at workshops, roundtable discussions and forum logisticsMinimum Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge:LLB with interest in Copyright Law4 years relevant experience after graduation.Experience working in a CMO or Music publishing company will be an added advantageSatisfactory knowledge of day-to-day operations of a legal officeAnalytical and research skillsAttention to detailOrganizational skillsTime managementPersuasive communicationWritten communication skillsInterpersonal skillsImplement dispute resolutionTechnical skills.
