Adv Global Group is a fast-growing company looking for a driven individual to join our Team immediately!
The tasks & duties below are generally associated with the position and not an exhaustive list of the requirements for the position. Any other task that might be reasonably required from a person in the position will form part of the roles & responsibilities.
The job description will be developed in collaboration with the Employee and updated as required.
Responsibilities:LegalReview and provide legal advice on ongoing cases and advise management accordingly.Liaise with relevant departments to ensure that where legal risks have been identified, appropriate courses of action have been taken.Provide legal protection and risk management advice to management, especially on contract management.Provide and interpret legal information.Review and advise management on legal implications of internal policies and procedures.Review and draft contracts, agreements, and internal policies and ensure compliance with all statutory or legal requirements.Review progress of outstanding litigation and liaise with and manage external lawyers.Regulatory complianceFormulate compliance check-lists to ensure company policies, procedures, and processes are correctly managed and governed.Ensure system integrity regarding master data.Continuously monitor compliance with statutory obligations and advise management accordingly.Develop and oversee control systems to prevent or deal with violations of legal guidelines and evaluate the efficiency of controls and improve them continuously.Revise procedures, reports, etc., periodically to identify hidden risks or non-conformity issues.Draft, modify, and implement company policies.Assess the business's future ventures to identify possible compliance risks.Review the work of colleagues when necessary to identify compliance issues and provide advice or training.Keep abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practices in compliance control.Prepare weekly reports for executive management meetings.Review all contracts or any other documentation where the Company has committed itself and assess legal implications that need to be brought to the executive management's attention.Prepare, review, and modify contractual instruments to assist and support various business activities.Work remotely: No

Ability to commute/relocate: Cape Town, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Experience: Legal Drafting: 3 years (Required)
