ResponsibilitiesAnalyse Act 49 and the New Identities Management System in collaboration with the Department of Home Affairs.Ensure the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for Act 49, with a focus on inclusive aspects for trans and gender-diverse persons and new identities management.Advocate for the right of individuals to change their identity documents based on gender self-determination.Challenge existing requirements, such as the need for a Psychologist Report, and propose alternative processes aligned with gender self-determination.Act as amicus curiae in legal proceedings related to gender identity rights.Assess cases to determine alignment with organizational scope and provide support in the litigation process.Desired Experience & QualificationRequirements:Education: Bachelor's degree in project management, strategic management law, public health, social sciences, education, or any other relevant discipline.Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a law environment.Skills: Clear understanding of media marketing and communication & Excellent communication and writing skills.Law Environment Experience: Previous experience in a legal environment, with a strong understanding of legal processes and frameworks.Additional Requirements:Valid driver's license.Office-based role.Preferably identifies as transgender.Preference given to candidates from the LGBT community.Availability: Immediate availability to start.
