We make it a priority to ensure that each member of the Capitec team feels welcome, valued, focused, and has the opportunity to grow.What will you doProvide legal advice to all departments and entities.Manage the legal risks for all legal advice to all the departments and entities.Handle a variety of legal matters, ranging from moderate to complex matters and projects.Act as counsel on issues involving company compliance, with complex governmental and regulatory issues, including the drafting of legal opinions where necessary.Review legal documentation and agreements and provide advice on appropriate action as well as being involved in negotiation of all legal issues in relation to such documentation.Draft agreements and suites of agreements, including client facing agreements and documents of a legal nature and legal agreements from moderate to complex when the incumbent deems this to be necessary.Interact and liaise with industry role players, e.g. the Payments Association of South Africa ("PASA") and the Banking Association of South Africa ("BASA").Manage litigation against and by the Bank.What will you bring5 - 6 years' experience in banking and/or commercial law and/or Information Technology is essential.Admitted Attorney.Bachelor's Degree in Law or Commerce.Experience in Banking Law.Experience in Commercial Law.Understanding of Banking systems.Ideal:Knowledge of National Payment Systems Act.Knowledge of Electronic Communication and Transactions Act (ECT).Experience in IT Law.Experience in E-Commerce.Capitec is committed to diversity, applications to this position will strictly be considered in support of our employment equity goals.Capitec Bank is an authorised financial services provider (FSP 46669) and registered credit provider (NCRCP13).
