Key Responsibilities: Legal Coordination: Manage all legal aspects for the property portfolio, ensuring efficient processes and legal compliance. Litigation & Risk Management: Oversee landlord/tenant litigation in Magistrate and High Court , including commercial property evictions, business rescues, and liquidations. Legal Drafting: Draft and review commercial contracts, including Service Level Agreements , leases, and other legal documentation. Advisory Services: Provide legal counsel on litigation risks, legal strategy, and dispute resolution to internal teams and property landlords. Relationship Management: Collaborate with internal teams such as Property Managers , Leasing Administrators , and Debtors Administrators , while managing relationships with external attorneys and asset managers. Experience / Education: LLB Degree and Admitted Attorney . 5 years of experience in landlord/tenant litigation, particularly in commercial property . Expertise in business rescue , liquidations , and commercial evictions . Strong legal drafting skills with a focus on commercial contracts and risk management. Skills & Competencies: Computer Literacy: Proficient in MS Office , including Excel , Word , and Outlook . Strong administrative skills , with a focus on time management, reporting, and document management. In-depth knowledge of South African litigation processes, specifically related to commercial property law . Core competencies include Communication , Analytical Thinking , Problem Solving , Decision Making , and Customer Relationship Building . Key Drivers: Client demands in the commercial property sector. Complex litigation matters due to the current economic landscape and tenant affordability issues.
