Purpose of the Role:The Legal Advisor will provide expert legal advice on corporate and commercial law matters, ensuring compliance and supporting the firm's diverse legal needs.Requirements:LLB degreeAdmitted attorney of the High Court with 3-5 years post-articles experienceProficiency in corporate/commercial legal advisory and litigationTechnologically savvy, adept at handling digitized legal processesKey Responsibilities:Conduct thorough legal research and offer sound opinions on corporate/commercial lawDraft, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements including those related to information technologyProvide legal guidance on corporate projects and manage corporate litigationStay abreast of legislative changes affecting the firm and aid in their implementationAdvise on technology law, privacy, FAIS, and related legislationOversee the contract management process and manage external legal instructionsFoster a culture of legal compliance and provide training to staff as neededCompetencies and Skills:Exceptional communication and negotiation skillsStrong analytical and numerical abilitiesAbility to manage time effectively and handle pressureCustomer service-oriented with a focus on performance and resultsExcellent conflict management and emotional intelligenceOur firm is dedicated to excellence and diversity, welcoming individuals who are resilient, agile, and committed to creating meaningful change.
