Legal Advisor (Corporate Legal)

The role of the LEGAL ADVISOR is to provide legal advice on general corporate and commercial law matters; and other legal advice for the asset management firm.Key responsibilities:Conduct legal research, provide opinions and advice in respect of corporate/commercial lawDraft, review and negotiate agreements of corporate/commercial/operations including information technologyParticipate in and provide legal advisory in corporate projectsManage and assist with corporate litigationIdentify new and amendments to legislation that impact the company and advise and assist with implementation.Understanding of technology law and privacyAdvise on FAIS and related legislationManage legal instructions and attorneys on the panelOversee contract management process at Legal and manage contract management process in respect of concluded agreements in corporate legal.Qualifications and experience required:LLB degreeAdmitted attorney of the High Court with between 3-5 years post articles experienceCorporate/commercial legal advisoryLitigation experienceComfortable with technology due to digitization of processes.An asset management firm, whose mandate is to make investments in various sectors of the economy.
