Skills, Knowledge, and Attributes: Legal & Administrative Expertise: Assess claims efficiently and error-free.
Administer high volumes of manual and electronic files.
Handle legal liability issues, compliance, and claim recommendations.
Analytical Skills: Knowledge of accounting standards, ability to interrogate records and bank documents.
Behavioral Competencies: High ethical standards, objectivity, integrity, and confidentiality.
Excellent time management, attention to detail, communication, and negotiation skills.
Responsibilities: Manage all aspects of claims handling from start to settlement.
Draft correspondence, research relevant information, and recommend claim outcomes.
Conduct inquiries, compile evidence, liaise with stakeholders, and attend to payment processes.
Possess the legal knowledge to decide on liability, handle various claim types, ensure regulatory compliance, and draft claim recommendations.
Conduct Regulation 8 (bis) inquiries .
Demonstrate interview and interrogation skills and ensure the safe custody of gathered evidence.
Provide objective, unbiased opinions on matters.
Maintain a comprehensive view of cases, identify potential irregularities, and proactively address them by involving relevant parties and obtaining accurate information.
Qualifications and Experience: Essential: LLB or relevant law degree, admitted attorney, 34 years post-admission experience.
Desirable: Experience in insurance law or claims environments.
