The IIE is internationally recognised by the British Accreditation Council. IIE MSA, located on a 100-hectare campus in Ruimsig, Johannesburg, in the province of Gauteng. In addition to domestic (South African) students, IIE MSA is home to a diverse of cultures of students from 50 African countries.The IIE MSA, Ruimsig Campus in Roodepoort has a vacancy for Part-Time Lecturers: Computer Sciences for the 2025 academic year.Duties and Responsibilities:Part-Time LecturingLecture on programmes (IIE qualifications) across various modes of delivery where relevant.Marking of assessments and provide feedback to students in subjects lectured.May be required to internally moderate assessments scripts that fall within their subject fields, where necessary across IIE sites of delivery.Lecturer Development and SupportAssist in lecturer development and support processes and procedures. This may include conducting peer reviews, facilitating workshops and one-on-one consultations.Student Development and SupportChampioning/leading and managing academic development and support for a specific programme and its students.Tracking student success and implementing support interventions where required.Research and ScholarshipThe candidate is required to promote a culture of scholarship within their practice, discipline and campus/team and is also required to contribute towards IIE MSA through achieving its annual research output targets.Competencies Required:Superior communication (written and verbal) and organisational skills.Demonstrated ability to manage work and self proactively.Able to demonstrate a proven track record of effective teaching in subject area based on a reflective practice.Able to demonstrate the ability to manage relationships with managers and staff effectively in terms of motivation, quality and performance.Passion for Customer Service.Experience in the use of technology to enhance learning is an added advantage.Minimum Qualification Requirements:Honours in Information Technology or Computer Science or any related field (NQF level 8).Masters in Information Technology or Computer Science or any related field (NQF level 9) preferably.Work Experience Requirements:Minimum of 3 years Teaching and Learning experience (preferably in teaching environment).Lecturing experience in databases and programming.Experience as a software developer/ application developer/ and mobile programmer.Experience in one or more of the following technologies:NET (C#, .NET Core, ASP.net MVC, Blazor, UWP)JavaScript (React, Angular, etc.)Cloud Development (Azure, AWS, etc.)Mobile Application Development (Android/iOS)Database Systems (SQL, Oracle, NoSQL, Firebase, MongoDB, etc.)Operating Systems (Windows/Linux)Working Conditions:Monday to Friday: 08:00 - 17:00.Competitive salary commensurate with experience.Due to the high volume of CVs received, please note that personal contact with all applicants may not be feasible.
