CORE FUNCTIONS:
Module Coordinator for area of specialisation (SME)To facilitate face-to-face and online lecturesDevelop, review and moderate curriculum and assessmentsProvide Academic consultation supportGrade assessments and provide stakeholder feedbackUndertake programme and module reviewsActive involvement in research and publishingSupervise postgraduate researchIdentify students at-risk and execute pastoral careUndertake programme and quality management administrative tasksQUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree in Public AdministrationPhD in Public Administration (an advantage)EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years of lecturing experience in higher educationRELATED KNOWLEDGE, COMPETENCIES, AND SKILLS: Familiarity with higher education, distance learning, and online educationExperience with learning management systemsWorking knowledge of the South African Higher Education Regulatory FrameworkAbility to work within pre-determined time frames and deadlinesConfident communication skills and professionalismStrong team player with a collegial approachProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Internet, and Email)Excellent writing and reporting skillsHigh level of ethics and confidentiality
