Experience in the use of distance learning tools such as PANAPTO is a requirement. The successful candidate must play a role in scholarship of research, community engagement and/or professional activities. The candidate should be registered for a PhD and be active in research and innovation activities.Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching and Learning: Teaching and learning within the subject group matters.Research And Publications Be able to undertake research, attend conferences and work on their doctoral studies.Supervision Be able to co-supervise honours research projects at least.Community Engagement Participate in community engagement projects within the school.Administrative Responsibilities Be able to assist students with basic inquiries such as curriculum control matters and commission statementsMinimum Requirements A master's degree in public administration and management (NQF 9) A minimum of 2 years' experience in teaching and learning. A minimum of 2 years' experience doing research in own studies, conference papers and publications. Experience in the use of online teaching tools such as eFundi. Experience in the use of distance learning tools such as PANAPTO.Added Advantage Professional memberships for example: South African Association of Public Administration and Management (SAAPAM), Association of Southern African Schools and Departments of Public Administration and Management (ASSADPAM), African Association of Public Administration and Management (AAPAM), International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IASIA). Registration for a PhD and be active in research and innovation activities.Functional / Technical Competencies (knowledge And Skills) Knowledge of teaching strategies and student support. Commitment to the achievement of Subject Group's and School's strategic objectives Excellent analytical abilities and innovative thinking, as well as ability to be self-driven The ability to function well individually and as part of a team. Good organising skills, as well as the ability to work at a fast-moving pace and comply with stringent deadlines.
