All underpinning qualifications must be in Marine Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.Experience: At least 2-years relevant teaching experience in higher education and/or 2-years industrial experience in Maritime.Certification: Seagoing Certificate of Competency Class 1 or Class 2 or EOW.A minimum of 12 months' sea time after the date of issue of the CoC, in rank as 2nd Engineer.Recommendation: A registration with a relevant professional body is recommended. Progress made towards a Doctorate in Marine Engineering/Mechanical Engineering will be an advantage.Demonstrable ability to carry out research as evidenced by publications in accredited journals.Junior Lecturer:Qualifications: A Postgraduate Diploma/Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Honours)/PG Dip/NHD/BTech degree in Marine Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.Certification: Seagoing Certificate of Competency Class 1 or Class 2 or Class 3.A minimum of 12 months' sea time after the date of issue of the CoC.Recommendation: Relevant teaching experience in higher education and/or industrial experience in Maritime.
