Lecturer: Eastern Cape Regional Centres of Excellence
The organisation requires a Lecturer for their Regional Centre of Excellence: Gqeberha.
Position Purpose
• To develop technical skills for the tooling manufacturing industry.
• Training and development of students in subjects related to the tool, die, and mould making industry.
• Facilitating practical work in well-equipped workshops.
• Relationship building with Industry Stakeholders.
• To undertake activities and projects as directed by the Regional Manager.

• Administrative / clerical support / recordkeeping.
• Communication: Speak, read, and write.
• Intellectuality: Attention to detail, critical thinking, and observation.
• Interpersonal skills: Team player, relationship building, social competence.
• Organising and planning skills: Well organised, systematic, time management.
• Computer literacy in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Core Activities
• Classroom and workshop teaching - Curriculum subjects as required.
• Observe and evaluate students' work to determine progress, provide feedback, and make suggestions for improvement.
• Prepare, plan, and present lectures and conduct discussions to increase students' knowledge and competence using applicable visual aids.
• Administer oral, written, or performance tests to measure progress and evaluate training effectiveness.
• Responsible for audio-visual equipment used during lecturing.
• Supervise and monitor students' use of tools and equipment.
• Student record keeping - prepare reports and maintain records such as attendance, training activity details, and scores.
• Coordinate and supervise student field trips.
• Support students and industry during the On-the-Job phase.
Education Requirements
• Relevant qualification:
- Toolmaker
- Machinist
- Fitter & Turner
- Relevant equivalent qualification
- Accredited Assessor Certificate – would be an advantage.
• Engineering Technical Qualification – N4.
• Teaching Qualification - Occupational Certificate: NQF4 – would be an advantage.
Experience Requirements
• Industry Experience – Min 5 years.
• Occupational/Teaching Experience - would be an advantage.
• Managerial Experience – would be an advantage.

• Licence: Current valid, Code B / EB (Required).
