The IIE Varsity College, Nelson Mandela Bay campus has a vacancy for a Lecturer (Part-Time) for the following modules for the 2025 academic year: 1st semester Gender, Culture and Society (GECS6221) 2nd semester Building Support Networks for Children and Families (BSNC6222) Medical Sociology (MEDS6222) Key Performance Areas: Lecturing preparation Lecturing Marking Student support Competencies Required: Communications skills Organisational skills Time management Minimum Education Requirements: Bachelor of Arts Honours / Bachelor of Social Science Honours degree in Sociology. Minimum Experience Required: Lecturing experience in Sociology. Lecturers must be able to apply the theory to a relevant work environment. A practising sociologist in politics, rural or developmental sociology would be an advantage. Working Conditions: Please note that this is an Independent Contractor role. Position is contracted for six months (Jan 2025 – December 2025). Position is part-time, with lectures taking place between 08:00 and 17:00 on weekdays. Classes are conducted face-to-face on campus.
