The IIE Varsity College, Nelson Mandela Bay campus has a vacancy for a Lecturer (Part-Time) for the following modules for the 2025 academic year: 1st semester Gender, Culture and Society (GECS6221)2nd semester Building Support Networks for Children and Families (BSNC6222)Medical Sociology (MEDS6222)Key Performance Areas: Lecturing preparationLecturingMarkingStudent supportCompetencies Required: Communications skillsOrganisational skillsTime managementMinimum Education Requirements: Bachelor of Arts Honours / Bachelor of Social Science Honours degree in Sociology.Minimum Experience Required: Lecturing experience in Sociology.Lecturers must be able to apply the theory to a relevant work environment.A practising sociologist in politics, rural or developmental sociology would be an advantage.Working Conditions: This is an Independent Contractor role.Position is contracted for six months (Jan 2025 – December 2025).Position is part-time, with lectures taking place between 08:00 and 17:00 on weekdays.Classes are conducted face-to-face on campus.Equal Opportunity Employer: The IIE's Varsity College is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
