The IIE Varsity College, Pietermaritzburg Campus has a vacancy for a Lecturer (Part-Time) in the Faculty of Humanities for the following modules in the first and second semester of 2025: English 1A: Introduction to English Studies _ENGL5121English 1B: Introduction to English Studies _ENGL6122English 2A: South African Literature _ENGL6221English 2B: Postcolonialism _ENGL6222Competencies Required: Excellent Communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent presentation skillsAssertiveness and dynamismUnderstanding of customer service in educationDemonstrate an ability to manage work and self proactivelyMinimum Education Requirements: Honours degree in EnglishAlternatively: BA degree with English as a major to third year (NQF level 7) PLUS a Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching with English as a didactic subject.Minimum Experience Requirements: Teaching/Lecturing experience in English is required.Previous lecturing experience within a tertiary environment is advantageous.
