STADIO offers a variety of academic and career-focused undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications through both contact and distance learning modes of delivery.Stadio is a comprehensive private higher education institution, consisting of the following academic schools:Administration and ManagementArchitecture and EngineeringCommerceEducationFashionHumanitiesInformation TechnologyLawMedia and DesignPolicing and Law EnforcementKey roles and responsibilities:Lecture and assess contact learning and distance learning students in the BEd (Foundation Phase Teaching) and BEd (Intermediate Phase Teaching) following modules:Afrikaans Home Language 1 (AHL100)Afrikaans First Additional Language 1 (AFA100)Afrikaans First Additional Language 2 (AFAF200)Afrikaans First Additional Language 2 (AFAI200)Literacy Afrikaans Home Language 1 (ALI201)Literacy Afrikaans Home Language 2 (ALI302)Perform the role and responsibilities of the module coordinator (MC). Compile teaching, learning, and assessment materials. Use a learning management system independently and/or work collaboratively to develop and deliver modules. Participate in relevant programme, curriculum and material development. Carry out allocated internal moderation responsibilities. Carry out invigilation of venue-based assessments as reasonably required by the Registrar's Office. Participate in school-based Teaching Practice assessments. Provide academic support to students. Complete all Quality Assurance requirements related to the modules and programmes. Participate in research and community engagement projects. Ensure prompt and effective communication with students, colleagues, line managers, and other members of management. Ensure administrative efficiency, effectiveness and compliance with all policies and SOPs. Participate in and attend meetings and workshops. Fulfil functions on relevant committees, and in meetings and workshops as reasonably requested by management. Fulfil all reasonably expected administrative functions relating to the position and as requested by the relevant line manager.Qualifications and experience | Minimum requirements:Minimum Bachelor of Education Honours or equivalent qualification with relevant study in Afrikaans Home and First Additional Language. At least three years teaching and/or lecturing experience in the relevant phases and disciplines. Experience in curriculum and materials development. Experience in online and blended teaching and learning environments.Key attributes:Sound teaching and assessment skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organisational and coordination skills with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines. High level of computer proficiency with good knowledge of modern Information Technology infrastructure and online learning platforms. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to cope with change.
