To manage the Technical School of Excellence, generate revenue and build technical, product knowledge and technology capability in the organisation's workforce across all verticals in Service, Parts, Sales and After Sales, inclusive of external customers in Construction, Mining and Energy and Transportation industries.
Develop world class technical programmes for the business using the latest technology. Focus encompasses compliance, new products, product, and system enhancements to improve customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the Technical School of Excellence
Manage the technical learning specialists responsible for development of learning, assessments tools, facilitation packs and delivery of learning in line with both CAT and Government requirements
Develop and Deploy Strategies required to build technical competence for the business
Manage the trade test facility for the apprenticeship summative assessments
Manage the OPEX and CAPEX budget for the Technical School of Excellence
Utilise appropriate processes (TCDP, SOR, Quality systems – ISO and Contamination Control, etc.) to manage, regularly review and report on all key deliverables related to technical learning and competence
Conduct special projects as assigned. Collaborate with various functional areas and departments to create and determine business rules and process flows.
Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the day-to-day management including product, system implementation, maintenance, upgrade, and applying new releases related developments.
Develop the Technical Training Plan for the group (Technical and Parts)
Liaise with External Stakeholders like SETA, QCTO for latest development in the technical field and provide SME advice when needed
Qualification, Experience and Competencies
Minimum Required Qualification
Pin Engineering
Registered/Certified Assessor and Moderator
Formal Leadership Development Programme will be an advantage
Minimum Required Experience
Eight years' supervisory experience in the Earth Moving Environment
Familiarity with eLearning platforms and practices
Working experience with Learning Management Systems (e.g. SAP)
