You'll be responsible for establishing a blended learning hub at Isilimela High School in Langa, creating a model that demonstrates how co-teaching with cutting-edge resources can elevate educational outcomes.
This project is about developing a best-practice model, not just for the hub but for the future of education , and we need someone who has a growth mindset, will provide tons of useful feedback to Huddle, and feels deeply committed to making a meaningful difference in every learner's life.
In this dynamic role, you'll be co-teaching alongside some of South Africa's top educators , bringing their interactive video lessons to life, projected straight into your classroom.
You'll be actively moving around the classroom, checking workbook answers, offering real-time feedback, identifying gaps in understanding, and helping learners bridge those gaps.

Job details: Grade & subjects: You'll co-teach and co-manage one Grade 8 class together with another Learning Hub Teacher.
The two of you will deliver blended learning experiences for the following 6 subjects; Maths, Natural Science, Social Science, EMS, Creative Arts, and Life Orientation (so you'll be responsible for 2-4 subjects each).
Start date: 6 January 2025 Location: Isilimela High School, Langa, Cape Town Reporting line: You'll report directly to both the Principal at Isilimela, and to the Head of Implementation at Huddle.
You will play a key role in shaping the future of our product by providing valuable, on-the-ground feedback, ensuring we continuously learn and innovate.  Hours: To be confirmed, but likely 07:30 - 16:30 on most weekdays.
Requirements Education:  Bachelor's degree in Education or PGCE  Experience: Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience Certificates:  SACE registration  Police Clearance Skills: Tech-savvy and experience integrating technology into the classroom is desirable.
Strong people skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Excellent organisational and time management abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
Data-oriented mindset, with the ability to make data-driven decisions to improve teaching outcomes.
Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
Fluency in English is and proficiency in one or more local languages is highly desirable.
The language of teaching and learning is English; however, most learners converse in isiXhosa outside the classroom.
While proficiency in isiXhosa is desirable, it is not a requirement for this role.
Must be willing to travel to the school and to the Huddle office in Pinelands as needed using your own transport.

Additional workdays in the Huddle office will be expected for product feedback sessions, team events, and Huddle training.
