As a learning and development generalist at PwC, you will focus on designing and delivering innovative training programmes to enhance employee skills and knowledge. You will play a crucial role in fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the organisation.

About the Role
As the Learning & Development Lead of SATIC, you will play a pivotal role in driving the professional growth and development of our multi-functional and multi-skilled workforce. You will design, drive implementation, and evaluate comprehensive learning programmes that align with our strategic business objectives, maintaining relevance in the market and positioning SATIC as a world-class strategic delivery centre.
Learning & development is a critical part of the employee experience, our SATIC employee value proposition, as well as fundamental to ensure quality and delivery excellence is maintained in our service offerings. As such, this role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for learning and development, coupled with a strong understanding of the professional services industry.
You will partner with SATIC Leaders and senior business stakeholders across PwC SA and PwC UK to understand their learning and development needs and develop learning solutions that align with our business objectives. You will also be responsible for ensuring that learning & development compliance is upheld.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
Develop and execute a comprehensive learning and development strategy that supports the business's overall business goals.
Identify emerging trends and generally accepted practices in learning and development to ensure our programs remain relevant and innovative.
Collaborate with senior leadership to understand business priorities and translate them into effective learning solutions.
Partner with the business and Human Capital to respond effectively with learning & development initiatives that drive an appropriate response to our annual people culture survey.
Drive the people development response to Strategic Workforce Planning initiatives.
Drive the learning & development / Human Capital collaboration processes to develop solutions that complement the people strategy.
Promote quality and excellence through effective learning & development business engagement, Human Capital collaboration and broader learning & development teamwork.
Drive the design of a strategic skills development plan to support in our Diversity and Inclusion ambitions.
As part of our youth development programmes, work closely with our strategic partners to craft and deliver relevant training and upskilling programmes.
In collaboration with our strategic partners, develop and implement relevant training and upskilling programs as a key component of our youth development initiatives.
Programme Design and Delivery:
You will work with SATIC team leaders, and mentors to understand the people development requirements within business units and translate these requirements into programmes that support both the business strategy and the individual's career path.
Utilise a variety of learning methodologies and technologies to cater to diverse learning styles.
Partner with subject matter experts and through alignment with the business' people strategy create high-quality training materials and resources.
Leverage our global network of learning & development expertise to recommend learning solutions, frameworks and opportunities that ensure optimum results in a fast-paced environment.
Facilitate learning sessions and workshops, ensuring a positive and interactive learning experience.
Prepare the learning & development budget and support business in managing their relative portion of the budget. Manage opportunities for cost saving and report on the budget at appropriate leadership forums.
Performance Management and Coaching:
Collaborate with Human Capital to develop and implement learning & development supporting processes linked to performance management processes to identify individual development needs.
Collaborate with Business and Human Capital to provide coaching and mentoring to employees at all levels to support their career progression.
Collaborate with Human Capital to leverage the results of regular performance reviews and constructive feedback to drive continuous improvement.
Talent Development:
Collaborate with business to identify high-potential individuals and develop tailored development plans to accelerate their growth.
Implement talent development programmes, such as leadership development and succession planning.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and encourage employees to take ownership of their professional development.
Evaluation and Measurement:
Track and measure the effectiveness of learning programmes through relevant metrics and KPIs.
Analyse data to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions.
Evaluate the impact of learning initiatives on individual and organisational performance.
Leading the Learning & Development Team within SATIC
Provide strategic direction and support to ensure that junior staff are aligned with organizational goals and are equipped with the necessary skills to succeed. This includes conducting regular performance reviews, offering constructive feedback, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment, and identifying opportunities for skill enhancement and career development.
Qualifications and Skills
Proven track record of leading strategic learning & development functions, preferably in a professional services environment.
Relevant qualification in HR, Learning or People Development.
Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Proficiency in learning management systems and other relevant technologies.
Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
A passion for innovation and a drive to continuously improve learning and development practices.
