Reporting to Training Manager Purpose:We are urgently looking for a Learning and Development Officer who will be responsible for supporting the development, execution and administration of the organisation's training programs, coordinate the organisation's People Strategy in the areas of, competency embedding, capability, talent development and GMP to achieve business goals, this position will work closely with site's Leadership to identify and prioritize training programs, talent management and team development initiatives that are aligned with core business strategies using L&D Methodology and tools as well as oversees the delivery of the site's training and development so that the skills and performance of employees meet current and future needs Key Job Outputs: Improve competence and effectiveness of all staff levels Analyse and identify development needs to drive L & D initiatives Evaluate performance, training's impact on business and ROI of training Coordinates the delivery of the training and development of the site's workforce Implement coaching, job shadowing, on the job training and competency development programmes Maintain training programs in accordance with business needs and regulatory requirements Ensure that all training documentation is accurate, complete, and available for review Maintain the site's competency matrixesPartner with Site leadership to create and lead development programs (job rotations, job profiles, career path, certifications, mentoring, and role competencies) to support targeted business objectives Support the implementation of a Talent Development and talent reviews Deliver GMP training – new employee orientation, annual refresher training to support the production schedule (Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Good Documentation Practices (GDPs) Maintain GMP training program to ensure compliance to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) Develop Workplace Skills Plan & information required for Annual Training Report, BBBEE & EE measures Regular reporting to management on effectiveness of training and development Maintaining accurate registers and document control POD (Proof of Delivery) Management Core Competencies Working with people Persuading and Influencing Presenting and communicating Information Planning and organizing Adopting and responding to change Coping with pressures and setbacks Deciding and initiating action Leading and supervising Learning and researching Delivering results and meeting customer expectations Achieving personal work goals and objectives Qualifications: Degree and/or Diploma in Human Capital management & Training and Development Experience: 5-8 years' experience in coordinating a Learning & Leadership Development function Demonstrated proficiency in assessing performance gaps, analysing learning needs, designing, developing learning solutions, facilitating learning activities and evaluating the effectiveness of learning programs Demonstrated effectiveness in delivering learning programs that support leadership, shop floor and technical skills Capability to facilitate talent reviews, match scarce skills and mitigate talent risks Managed Annual Talent Review cycle, developmental assessments and succession planning Ability to translate business challenges into talent opportunities A track record of supporting business leaders to identify, develop and deploy talent models/ interventions In depth knowledge of the skills development framework and associated legislation (e.g. SDA, SDLA, Employment Equity Act (Codes of Good Practice related to EE and B-BBEE) and SAQA Act
