Your opportunity:
The Centre for International Experience (CIE) provides students opportunities to expand their learning into the global arena. CIE works with students, academic units, and the community to create sustainable learning abroad experiences that incorporate study, research, and professional opportunities.
The Learning Abroad Coordinator will support the full Learning and Safety Abroad team, focusing on Global at Home, Experiential Learning, and Outbound Mobility programs.
Your responsibilities will include: Implementing plans and process improvements for program and service activitiesFacilitating educational workshops and seminarsDetermining logistical details for events and programmingProviding detailed pre-arrival information to students regarding international program logisticsFostering cooperative working relationships with internal and external contactsDisseminating program informationGenerating reportsScreening and making referrals to appropriate resourcesEssential Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.Minimum three years of related experience in international education and student advising.Experience working with a diversity of international stakeholders and coordinating student mobility programs.Proven experience in flexible environments and dealing with uncertainty.Experience in partnership implementation.Experience working with faculty, staff, and students in a university setting.Experience in project development and management.Computer software proficiency including Word, advanced Excel, and web-based interfaces.Strong organizational and prioritization skillsStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within a teamAssets (Nonessential): Knowledge of the international higher education landscape.Knowledge of an additional language is an asset.To be successful in this role you will be: DiplomaticMulti-taskerTactfulTeam playerClosing Date: 08/21/2024, 11:59PM ET
