Leading Hand

Summary: Leading Hand required to support Foreman and motivate site Crews in Asphalt Surfacing and Spray Seal projects, ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
We're looking for a motivated Leading Hand to join our Launceston Asphalt Surfacing and Spray Seal Crews. As a key member of the team, you'll support the Foreman in leading the crew, ensuring a safe, clean, and secure worksite. Your focus will be on delivering high-quality results while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:

Maintain a safe, clean, and secure worksite
Assist in leading an Asphalt and/or Spray Seal Crew
Coordinate activities to ensure efficient use of equipment and resources
Liaise with Foreman to provide direction and support to Crew Members
Report equipment maintenance requirements
Ensure quality of work meets set standards
Assist with training of crew members

Requirements:

Experience in delivering Asphalt and Spray Seal projects in a safe working environment
Motivating and leading Crew members to ensure maximum productivity
Participating in pre-planning for all jobs
Ability to positively influence and assist in leading a Crew
Proven commitment to site safety
Liaising with Foreman to provide direction and support to workers
Computer literacy with demonstrated ability to complete reports in a timely manner
