Fluency in Afrikaans (both written and spoken).Beneficial requirements:Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and timelines efficiently.Excellent communication skills for interfacing with regulatory bodies, project teams, and stakeholders.Duties and responsibilities:Oversee and manage all permitting activities required for new ship construction and retrofitting projects.Coordinate with regulatory agencies to ensure project compliance with environmental, safety, and industry-specific regulations.Develop and implement permitting strategies that align with project schedules and avoid delays in construction.Conduct risk assessments related to regulatory compliance and provide solutions to minimize permitting risks.Collaborate with design and project management teams to ensure that engineering plans meet regulatory requirements and adhere to quality standards.
