Lead: Internal Communications - Group FunctionsJob OverviewBusiness Segment: Group FunctionsTo develop and execute Standard Bank Group's internal communication strategy in accordance with the communication policy and governance framework across the Group's footprint, oversee the management of company-wide internal communications, support leadership communications efforts enabling the visibility of leaders and ensuring that the key strategic messages land for employees. To develop the required corporate communication capabilities to measure and report on the effectiveness of internal communication.QualificationsA post-graduate degree in communication or a master's degree in business commerce, communication or a related field.Experience:More than 10 years experience in excellent business acumen, business literacy & ability to develop and implement internal communication strategies, programmes, campaigns & plans.Provide sound judgement on sensitive communication decisions. Leader-employee engagement, writing for internal communication channels & planning for successful change communication experience. Project management of large interactive projects & accounting for internal communication content in channels & platforms with organizational-wide reach. Provide expert advice on communication solutions.Key Responsibilities:Lead a team dedicated to shaping and delivering compelling internal communications across various channels, to drive effective communication strategies that reinforce engagement, alignment, and a strong sense of community among Standard Bank Group employees.Lead the development and execution of innovative internal communication strategies aligned with Standard Bank Group's overarching goals and values, that anticipate employee needs, encourage participation and foster a culture of transparency and collaboration.Proactively communicate organizational changes, advancements, and strategic initiatives in an engaging and inspiring manner to position Standard Bank as an employer of choice. Develop and lead the implementation of communication plans that pre-emptively address potential employee concerns and inspire alignment. Drive the creation and delivery of proactive, fit-for-purpose, inspiring content tailored for diverse internal channels, in collaboration with business partners, ensuring the messaging remains consistent, transparent, and aligned with Standard Bank Group's strategic objectives.Shape and craft key internal messaging for roll-out across the Group, enabling the creation and usage of a messaging framework that supports the Standard Bank Group's Employee Value Proposition that is people-centric. Conceptualize and implement campaigns and initiatives aimed at boosting employee engagement, empowering employees to contribute ideas and insights and promoting a sense of belonging within the organization.Lead, mentor, and empower a team of internal communications professionals, fostering an environment that encourages collaboration, creativity, and professional growth. Provide guidance to ensure the team delivers consistent and impactful communications.Prepare and develop significant assessments on various budget planning proposals for senior leadership in support of the strategic planning and budget development process. Accountable to manage the allocated budget to ensure cost-efficient activities are carried out. Attend and observe StratCo discussions to identify potential internal communication opportunities, recommending initiatives to senior leadership for implementation.Provide expertise during the annual reporting cycle, working with relevant key internal stakeholders, by orchestrating the creation of content to ensure the messaging is consistent and aligned with Standard Bank Group's Employee Value Proposition. Analyze and translate external communication trends into communication inputs that can be used to mitigate potential risk or reputation issues; provide suggestions on how to use internal messaging that will strengthen the responsiveness of the communication.Please note: All our recruitment processes comply with the applicable local laws and regulations.
