Lead Financial Analyst

Purpose of JobJobholders at this level are experienced professionals capable of conducting work with general directions. They are primarily concerned with developing solutions to challenges which require some analysis to understand and resolve, and addressing issues escalated from junior levels. They undertake complex operational activities including financial analysis and forecasting, providing financial insights, challenging other functions during budget development, and assessing budget modification requests.Job ResponsibilitiesBudget Development, Monitoring, and AnalysisUpdate budgeting templates, forms, and guidelines based on requirements.Coordinate with all functions to align on budget guidelines, timetables, and applicable forms.Provide support to ZATCA's functions for budget development through answering queries and preparing historical data and statistics.Collect and consolidate inputs ensuring alignment with set guidelines and templates and develop organization-wide budget draft.Negotiate and challenge ZATCA functions on forecasted budgets and accordingly finalize budget plan.Upload final budget requirements into the system.Assess budget modification requests and analyze supporting business cases to ensure viability and obtain needed approvals.Conduct budget monitoring to ensure targeted and effective use of budget resources and avoid any budget deficit and overruns.Perform variance analysis to pinpoint discrepancies between forecasted and actual budget.Provide guidance and advice on budget discrepancies/deviations.Organization and OperationsFollow all relevant policies, processes and standard operating procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.Help in solving escalated problems and provide needed support for junior team to ensure work is carried out in an efficient manner.Escalate complex problems to the relevant person to ensure cases/issues are closed properly.Perform other duties as requested.People ManagementTrain junior staff on the different job activities to ensure transfer of know-how, when applicable.Provide clear direction, prioritize tasks, assign and delegate responsibility, and monitor the workflow of subordinates/junior staff.Support junior staff or direct reports in order to execute their duties according to set policies and processes.Job DetailsCommunication and ContactsEducationBachelor's degree in Finance or equivalent is required.ExperienceA minimum of 4 years of relevant experience is required.CompetenciesCommunication - DevelopingProfessionalism - ProficientAccounting Standards and Practices - ProficientResults Oriented - ProficientFinancial Planning and Analysis - AdvancedFinancial Reporting and Control - ProficientCustomer Focus - ProficientRisk Assessment and Management - ProficientTreasury Operations and Fund Management - ProficientChange Enabler - Developing
