#LI-DNI Role Purpose/Business Unit: Management of pre-employment and early careers programmes within Vodacom South Africa in line with the buy-to-build strategy.
Working in collaboration with business units the Emerging Talent Lead will develop and deliver a strategy to support business talent requirements.
Responsible for the attraction and recruitment strategy for early careers and execute the development programmes for each new entrant and existing workforce pathways.Embedding the Vodacom South Africa's EVP through innovative, differentiated strategies resulting in youth attraction campaigns across South Africa.Drive multiple projects simultaneously to help re-define a programmatic approach to engaging early with target talent communities from grassroots to higher learning institutions and providing thought leadership to the Emerging Talent TeamDevelop an effective and consistent communication strategy that is critical for attraction and retention of emerging talent.
Develop plans and interventions in line with stakeholder needs, strategic workforce plans and building skills for the future.Your responsibilities will include:Work with Business Units to develop and lead on the strategy for the attraction, recruitment, and onboarding across the entire emerging talent pipeline.Develop strong relationships with preferred academic institutions and learning providers.Develop and manage the plan for undergraduates which includes placements and financial sponsorship.Management of pre-employment programmes to ensure a continuous talent pipeline for the grad programme and experienced hires.
Effective review and management of the Emerging Talent Budget.
Compiling and producing regular progress reports and track key metrics.
Develop and manage all emerging talent programmes in line with business and professional industry body requirements.Obtain regular feedback from all stakeholders to uphold continuous improvement.Utilise internal and external communication channels to share the EVP to help build the Vodacom's Employer brand and maintain a competitive advantage.
BBBEE Audits and document management Harmonise the youth hiring process to deliver best-in-class candidate experience, Evolve the programme lifecycle for interns, & grads Build mechanisms for cohort calibration and rotations, removing manual intervention and exceeding stakeholder expectations.Proactive reporting and talent management of post-programme employees to track performance of programmes.The ideal candidate for this role will have: Relevant Degree or Diploma (HR or Business Science) is essential.Minimum 12 years emerging talent experience with people management Previous experience and proven competence in applying effective Learning and Development within an organisation with strengths in Early Careers.Experience in attracting, selecting, onboarding and inducting talent.
