Lead Electrical Engineer

As a Lead Electrical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of high-voltage electrical systems across transmission and distribution networks. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring projects meet technical specifications, regulatory standards, and client expectations. Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage engineering projects from concept through to commissioning, focusing on transmission and distribution systems up to 33kV up to 765kV.Design, analyze, and optimize electrical networks, including substations, switchgear, and power lines.Develop technical specifications, perform feasibility studies, and conduct risk assessments.Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that enhance system reliability and performance.Provide expert guidance on electrical protection, control systems, and network automation.Oversee the preparation of detailed project documentation, including design drawings, calculations, and compliance reports.Mentor and guide a team of junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.Stay up-to-date with industry trends, standards, and regulatory changes, implementing best practices across all projects. What We're Looking For:We are seeking a seasoned professional with a passion for electrical engineering and a proven track record in transmission and distribution projects. You should be a strategic thinker, a problem solver, and a leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications:Bachelor's or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.10+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with a strong focus on transmission and distribution systems.In-depth knowledge of high-voltage systems, substation design, and power transmission networks.Professional Engineer (PE) with ECSA.Experience with industry-standard software (e.g., CDEGS, Autogrid Pro, or similar).Strong understanding of national and international electrical standards (e.g., IEEE, IEC, NEC).Excellent project management skills with a track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.Exceptional communication and leadership abilities, with experience in client management and team mentorship.
