The ideal candidate will have a strong background in economics, with a minimum of eight years of experience in preparing and implementing country strategies and policy advisory services.About the Role:Coordinate the work of economists in assigned countries and provide guidance and leadership to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.Lead the preparation of knowledge products to inform regional integration strategy papers and country strategy papers.Develop partnerships with other departments within the Complex and outside the Bank to incorporate the highest level of knowledge in Bank strategies and operations.Key Responsibilities:Apply economic research to develop and review policy solutions tailored to specific circumstances of Regional Member Countries and Regional Economic Communities.Requirements:Master's degree in Economics; a PhD will be an advantage.Minimum of eight years of experience gained on site in developing countries (preferably in Africa) in the preparation, coordination, and implementation of country/regional strategies and non-lending programs.Strong planning and organizational skills, including negotiation skills and team building skills.Capacity to connect, understand, and influence stakeholders at all levels.Salary:$80,000 - $110,000 per annumAbout Us:The African Development Bank is committed to improving the lives of Africans by promoting economic growth and reducing poverty.
