This includes monitoring the performance of the credit portfolio and implementing strategies to optimize its performance. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the Bank's credit portfolio, analyzing credit risks, and ensuring the overall health of the Bank's credit portfolios.Key Result AreasOversee the management of the bank's credit portfolio.Develop strategies to optimize the performance of the credit portfolio.Monitor the performance of the credit portfolio and take action as necessary.Ensure that account management processes align with the bank's risk appetite.Report to senior management and the board on the performance of the credit portfolio and any potential risks.Manage a portfolio of credit accounts, including monitoring credit limits, analysing creditworthiness, and mitigating risks.Collaborate with internal teams, including demand management, collections, risk management, and finance, to drive business growth and mitigate credit risks.Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance with credit policies and regulations.Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting portfolio performance and key credit metrics.Provide guidance and support to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.Role RequirementsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or BSc Actuarial/Financial Engineering/Quantitative Risk Management Degree with majors in Mathematics or Statistics.8 - 10 years of experience in credit portfolio management, account management, or related roles within the financial services industry.Strong understanding of credit risk management principles and practices.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.Proven track record of driving results and achieving business objectives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.Leadership SkillsLeadership: Ability to lead a team and make strategic decisions.Risk Management: Strong understanding of risk management principles and practices.Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse complex credit data and make sound decisions.Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including senior management and regulators.Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop effective strategies to manage the bank's credit risk.Closing Date: 05 November 2024The appointment will be made from the designated group in line with the Employment Equity Plan of Old Mutual South Africa and the specific business unit in question.Old Mutual Limited is pro-vaccination and encourages its workforce to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19.All prospective employees are required to disclose their vaccination status as part of the recruitment process.Please refer to the Old Mutual's Covid-19 vaccination policy for further detail.
