As a Business Design Authority Lead, your primary responsibility will be to provide strategic direction and oversight in the field of business design within the organization. You will be responsible for driving innovation and ensuring that design principles and practices are integrated into all aspects of CIB Operations.
Your key duties will include leading a team of business design professionals, setting goals and objectives, and developing strategies to achieve them. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize design opportunities, develop innovative solutions, and implement them to drive business growth and profitability.
Additionally, you will be responsible for staying up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in business design and continuously improving the organization's design capabilities. You will also serve as a thought leader, representing the company in industry events, conferences, and other forums.
To be successful in this role, you should have a deep understanding of business strategy, Intelligent Process Management, design thinking, and user-centered design principles. Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills are essential, as you will be working closely with stakeholders across the organization to drive business transformation through design.
Overall, as the Business Design Authority Lead, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of CIB Operations by leveraging design as a strategic tool to drive innovation, enhance customer experiences, and achieve business objectives.
The design authorities will review all designs and advise, guide, and consult the technical team to ensure that components are re-used, the right design patterns are followed, and expert knowledge is preserved and shared.
Responsibilities of Design Authority There are 4 key responsibilities associated with the design authority which may apply to an individual or a team working in the capacity of the DA:
Adherence to Best Practices and Standards / Assure QualityRegular MeetingsMeet regularly (e.g. weekly) with development and design staff to support implementation schedules.Provide availability to meet on an ad-hoc/exceptional basis as necessary to support exceptional circumstances.Review all provided artifacts in a timely manner to avoid negative impact on timelines.Engage with developers and designers to review all design documentation (e.g. Process Overview, Solution Design Document etc.).Maintaining a Centralized View / Maintaining Records:Update and maintain the centralized view or library with all up-to-date information and documentation.Provide easy access and expert support for the centralized view or library contents and information to all developers and design staff.Enforcing Best Practices:Offer feedback and advice to the development team to ensure the highest quality of submitted materials at all stages of the development process.Maintain Business Object library – A list of objects which have been built to date and are in production. Capture names of objects, actions, inputs, outputs, description, version etc. Map Objects to Process.Minimum Qualifications: Type of Qualification: DegreeExperience Required: 3-4 years demonstrated experience applying understanding of insights, metrics, strategy and benefits realisation measure across the organisational value chain to demonstrate value of successful implementation of initiatives to meet stakeholder expectations.3-4 years experience demonstrating an ability to partner with internal and external stakeholders to identify and implement fit for purpose solutions delivering tangible business value aligned to the overall organisational strategy.3-4 years demonstrated experience in Data Analytics and/or Data Science and the interpretation of data, analysis of results using statistical techniques, and reporting with tangible examples of driving impactful change.1-2 years demonstrated experience aligning insights and trends to the overall strategic objectives to respond proactively to upcoming change while managing external and internal challenges to promote the success of change.
