Layout Artist / Designer (Freelance)

Yes Media, an established niche publisher, is looking for a freelance layout designer to do layout design and DTP of various print publications. You will form part of a small editorial and production team and be fully responsible for the layout and DTP of the publications.

Please note: This is a freelance position. We require someone for only three to four projects per year - a few weeks each per project. It requires someone who already has a freelance layout design business, servicing other clients. We will not consider applicants currently in full-time employment. The position is Cape Town based. The work can (mostly) be done remotely but we prefer a resident of Cape Town or surrounds.

Experience in business-to-business magazines and corporate reports is ideal. You will be responsible for editorial as well as some advert/advertorial content, as well as producing finished print-ready files.

Skills Required
You MUST have:

At least 5 years of corporate report or magazine design and DTP experience Experience in relevant creative packages (Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) Your own equipment and access to relevant creative software A relevant formal qualification Personal Attributes
Able to work as part of a team, willing to pitch in and get the job done, meticulous with high attention to detail, and an efficient and fast worker.
