Our client situated in the Greyton area, is seeking a dedicated individual for the above-mentioned position, to oversee and maintain the gardens of the farm.

Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to): Garden Maintenance: Take ownership of the overall upkeep, health, and presentation of the farm's gardens; Landscaping Projects: Implement landscaping projects to enhance the beauty and functionality of the gardens; Plant Care: Cultivate, plant, and care for flowers, shrubs, trees, and other greenery, ensuring they thrive in all seasons; Irrigation and Watering: Manage irrigation systems and implement water-efficient practices; Soil and Fertilization: Assess soil conditions, apply fertilizers, and implement sustainable gardening practices; Weed and Pest Control: Identify and manage weeds, pests, and plant diseases using environmentally friendly methods; Tool and Equipment Maintenance: Ensure gardening tools and equipment are in good condition; Seasonal Adjustments: Prepare gardens for seasonal changes, including planting, pruning, and mulching; Efficiently leading and collaborating with the gardening team.
Essential qualifications, skills and experience: Proven experience as a Landscaper or Gardener (ideally in a farm or large property setting); Strong knowledge of horticulture, plants, and landscaping techniques; Experience with garden design and maintenance, including irrigation systems; Ability to operate gardening tools and machinery safely and efficiently; Valid drivers license.
