We are the world's leading primary producer of PGMs, which have a range of specialised applications that improve lives across the world – from vehicle fuel cells to jewellery; dentistry to glassmaking; pacemakers to petroleum refining.Job DescriptionEnsure operational effectiveness of charging racks.Inspect and monitor lamp equipment for each shift including the usage and repair of lamps and equipment.Identify and respond to sub-standard practices and faulty components and ensure that lamps are available as required.Maintain control over the turnaround time of repair work on lamps and ensure adequate supply of spare parts and consumables.Monitor the salvage of discarded lamp unit components and complete the required reports and checklists.Maintain specified safety standards for site and ensure the necessary precautions required are adhered to for hazardous materials.This role is in the MRM department on a B3 level, reporting to the Lampsroom Supervisor.QualificationsYou will be required to have:Grade 12.Experience required:2 years related experience in an underground Lamp room operation.This role requires shift work, overtime including weekends.Additional InformationWhat we offerWhen you join Anglo American, you can expect to enjoy a competitive salary and benefits package.
