Job Purpose To assist in providing quality services and safe operation of Lamproom equipment and tools for health, safety and productivity in the
mining sector.
Minimum Requirements • Grade 10 certificate or equivalent with mathematics and physical science on standard grade (D
symbol)
• At least 1 year experience as a lamproom operator and/or technical type role / environment;
• Basic understanding of lamp room equipment and tools;
• Good computer skills (Microsoft package)

pertinent to the lamp room, and attends in-service, mandatory, basic, advance and/or specialized training to maintain current and proficiency or learn new job related information and skills. Maintain housekeeping in area of responsibility. Liaise with Lampsman to assist in ensuring quality and safety of work and that contractual obligations are met Liaise with visitors, clients, staff and others to assist with general enquiries.Support Provides efficient and effective administrative support and customer service as required. Keep Lampsman updated of all unresolved and/or potential problems that would negatively affect the customer or our company. Feedback on a regular basis to Lampsman. Participate as appropriate in quality programs implemented across the company.Work, Health and Safety Actively identifies existing and potential hazards in the workplace. Reports identified hazards to designated persons. Contributes to workplace meetings, inspections or other consultative activities. Ensure medical and inductions are valid.
