Key Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for pre-make ready such as requesting of job card, ordering adhesives, solvent, and substrates. Do a ratio check at the begin of each shift and job change. Do a grammage check at the begin of each shift and job change. Responsible for the setup of the lamination process by preparing the machine for the next job ensuring that trays and pumps are clean. Responsible for loading of coating sleeves specified by the job card while ensuring that adhesives batch numbers are recorded. Responsible for setting up of coating stations, ensuring that the coating grammage comply with job card. Responsible for ongoing quality control by continuously conducting visual checks on lamination substrate during production for the following specifics: coating weight and lay of adhesive. Record all scrap produced on the system. Responsible for recording production data. Comply with all ITB's policies including but not limited to Health and Safety, General Workplace policies, Quality and Food Packaging safety and standard operating procedures.
Educational Requirements Have completed Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent with computer knowledge.
Experience Requirements Have a fair knowledge of ISO 9001: 2015 Quality standards. At least 5 years' experience in the plastic industry (packaging). At least 2-year experience as a Lamination Machine Operator.
