Laboratory Technologist - Durban

Our Client, a supplier of Chemicals & Hygiene Solutions, is seeking a  Laboratory Technologist to join their team in DurbanDuties include: Daily validation of laboratory equipment and updating the calibration recordsRoutine analyses of incoming raw materials Final testing of products produced as per test methods and reporting variancesEntering QC data on the QC spreadsheetsQC testing of toll manufacturing raw material samples and finished Blends General housekeeping of the laboratory as per Good laboratory practiceMaintenance of laboratory equipment and scheduling of external calibrations as per calibration inventoryAssist with the research and development of products to meets customer requirementsAssist with stock takingConducting research on customer complaints and reporting findingsCreating COAs for all products manufactured and updating on the systemSending of COAs upon request either from sales department or customersPurchasing of laboratory reagents required for testing and standardizing themPrinting of passed products batch stickersFilling of batch sheets Arranging for Monthly Panoil microbiological testing and analysis and capturing of resultsHandling stocking and storage of all retention samples of finished products and raw materialsSend of samples for finished products that require external testing to designated laboratories and capturing results provided.Adhering to ISO 9001:2015 and FSSC 22000 requirements.Generate standard operating procedure as and when required.Provide staff with training on standard operating procedures applicable to the laboratory department.Assist with research and development requirements as per the company standard operating procedures as and when required.Requirements:Grade 12, Diploma in analytical chemistry or BSC Chemistry3 – 5 years working experienceComputer literate.
