Laboratory Manager

The team values expertise, collaboration, and dedication, offering a challenging environment where your contributions will shape product outcomes and drive success across the business.As the Laboratory Manager, you will lead day-to-day lab activities, ensuring processes run efficiently and quality control standards are met.
You will supervise staff, manage product development initiatives, and collaborate with production and procurement teams.
Additionally, you will play a key role in documentation, compliance, and training, contributing to the continuous improvement of both processes and products.Responsibilities:Lead the development of new products and modification of existing products.Conduct testing to ensure compliance with product specifications.Generate comprehensive lab reports for both internal and external validationOversee quality control processes for raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.Provide technical advice and training to production teams and integrated learners on quality standards.Prepare and issue Test Certificates for products and ensure proper resolution of non-conformance issues.Offer technical advice on raw material selection and alternative materials.Assist with testing of brought-in finished products to ensure they meet company standards.Manage lab equipment by ensuring regular maintenance, calibration, and cleaning schedules are followed.Maintain and update safety and technical data sheets (SDS/TDS) for compliance.Support SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) activities by collaborating with relevant teams.Requirements:Minimum BSc in ChemistryAt least 5 years in a similar role, with proven experience leading a lab team and working in a production-focused environment.Drivers License and Own VehicleProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).Familiarity with laboratory operations, quality control systems, and testing protocols.Remuneration Package:R40 000 - R50 00050% Medical Aid ContributionProvident Fund Contribution13th Cheque20 Days Leave including Annual Shutdown***Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted***
