Laboratory Analyst (Ee)

Description Our client in the Manufacturing industry, based in Port Elizabeth, is currently looking to employ a Laboratory Analyst.An exciting career opportunity awaits!Requirements: B Tech or BSc in Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry advantageous.(Minimum qualification: National Diploma in Analytical Chemistry).Computer literacy is essential.Knowledge of ISO 9001 or related Quality Systems.Knowledge of HSE (Health Safety and Environment)Ability to work as a member of a team.Ability and willingness to learn new skills.Ability to execute instructions.Responsibilities, but not limited to:Daily executions of the production sample analyses.Actively persue to reduction in analysis variation.Actively pursue the attainment of personal key performance indicators.Ensure that all safety policies and procedures are adhered to.Report any deviations from expected outcome to immediate superior.Submitting of NCRs for non-conforming tests.Report any safety and security breaches to immediate superior.Maintain the cleanliness in the lab by cleaning immediately after each spill.Follow good laboratory principles.Engage and participate as a member of a learning organisation by expanding your skills through training and development.Identify and communicate restrictions and bottlenecks.Foster an environment for continuous improvement.Ensure compliance with the Quality Management System at all times.Perform other duties which may reasonably be expected of the position.Kindly be advised that should you not receive a response within two weeks of applying, please consider your application unsuccessful.
