JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY Projects generally fall into two categories:
Fermentation development experiments to improve the yield and quality of the production of single strand DNA and protein, among other potential productsGeneration of contracted materials via fermentation following standard operating procedures and batch recordMore specifically, tasks may include:
Developing aseptic technique to propagate and grow cultures from initial inoculation through 100 L fermentation production systemMonitoring and recording of data collected from active fermentationOperation of benchtop equipment and instruments, such as centrifuges, cell counters filtration, chromatography, microscopes, spectrometers, etc.FLSA STATUS United States of America (Non-Exempt)
