Reports To: The Quality Control Manager.Purpose:Analyze raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, stability samples, and special test requests.Requirements:Matric/Grade 12National Diploma in Analytical Chemistry/BSc in Chemistry/Food Tech Diploma or equivalentAt least 1 year relevant QC Laboratory experienceComputer LiterateHPLC experience – a necessitySound knowledge & working experience within a laboratory environment according to the requirements of ISO 17025Key Responsibilities:Responsible for the chemical evaluation of raw materials, finished products, and stability samples.Execute daily tasks and work instructions according to the relevant SOPs.Record and report results and provide detailed observations of the analysis of data and interpretation thereof.Accurately calculate/interpret results.Perform analytical investigations according to SOP on out of specification (OOS) results.Report all Out of Specification/Deviations to Supervisor.Dispose of all laboratory waste according to procedure.Monitor gas cylinder levels and timeously order replenishment stock.Conduct weekly stocktake of chemical reagents for use.Ensure compliance to GMP/GLP guidelines, SOPs, and internal audits.Ensure lab equipment is maintained at acceptable levels and report discrepancies/breakdowns to Team Leader.Analyze non-routine/special request investigations according to target date.Maintain standard forms and electronic laboratory records.Key Behavioural Dimensions and Skills:Well-developed planning, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
