We are seeking an experienced Learning & Development Manager to implement and manage innovative learning and development solutions aligned with business goals You will lead the design, delivery, and evaluation of development interventions, collaborate with stakeholders, and foster a high-performance culture that promotes growth and excellence within the organization
Skills & Knowledge Required: Relevant degree in HR or related fieldAdvanced Excel proficiencyExtensive HR and training development experienceKnowledge of training design, development, and deliveryFacilitation skills and experience with SDF processesStrong communication skillsExperience with Workplace Skills Plan (WSP) & Annual Training Report (ATR) submissionsValid driver's license and own transport with willingness to travelKey Responsibilities: Strategic Planning and Implementation: Develop and maintain a Learning & Development strategy based on identified training needs and skills gapsAlign learning strategies with organizational objectives and future skill requirementsTransform strategies into actionable initiatives with measurable outcomesOversee Workplace Skills Plans (WSP) and Annual Training Reports (ATR) for the groupContinuously monitor and review Learning & Development programs and policies to ensure they meet business needsTraining Design, Facilitation & Delivery: Manage the full learning experience from design to delivery to ensure positive engagement and learning outcomesCollaborate with subject matter experts to stay updated on content and adapt training materials as necessaryProactively explore training needs and create relevant learning materials and programsPeople Management: Lead and manage the Learning & Development department's people practices, fostering a culture of accountability and high performanceOversee performance, goal-setting, and development of team membersStakeholder Management: Build and nurture collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including SETAsWork with HR and business stakeholders to align learning initiatives with strategic business objectivesOperations / Financial Management: Develop and manage the annual training budget aligned with organizational needsSelect and manage service providers to deliver training in line with the training planEnsure effective allocation and management of SETA funding for training programsLegislative Compliance: Ensure all Learning & Development activities comply with BBBEE/EE/SD legislationManage BBBEE scorecard compliance and implement action plans for continuous improvementLegislative Reporting and Administration: Oversee reporting and data analytics for Skills Development audits, WSPs, and other training-related documentsEnsure compliance with all statutory reporting requirements and maintain accurate recordsSuccession Planning: Participate in the succession planning process by identifying and developing talent for key rolesCollaborate with HR to maintain and update succession plansPartnerships: Develop and maintain strategic relationships with external training providers and other stakeholders to support Learning & Development initiativesEvaluation & Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry best practices and continuously improve Learning & Development delivery channelsMeasure the success and impact of interventions and ensure the workforce reflects diversity throughout all programs
