IntroductionWe are looking to recruit a permanent KNAPP Controller (Order Well Operations) for our wholesale outbound (pick/check/pack) department to work for United Pharmaceutical Distributors (UPD). The role will be based at the UPD Cape Town (Montague Gardens) branch and will report to the Warehouse Supervisor.
Job Purpose: The Knapp Controller purpose is to initiate and control the entire picking, checking, packing, invoicing and reporting functions including but not limited to Knapp system.Job Objectives:Ensure that all orders are picked, checked and packed on the Knapp System.Ensure that the route and order status enquiry is monitored according to required cut-off timeframes.Ensure that all orders are released from the Knapp system.Ensure that all orders are invoiced and scanned to Despatch and correctly allocated.Ensure that all the orders are released/prioritised and allocated to the Reach Truck operators and Pickers.Ensure that Emergency orders are urgently released and communicated with Management to be expedited with urgency.Ensure routes are corrected on the system, when errors are picked up in the order well.Ensure that the Knapp system is monitored on a continuous basis.Ensure the office is kept clean at all times.Documentation is filed timorously and kept up to date.Ensure sufficient backup cartridges is readily available.Ensure sufficient A4 paper is readily available.Printer status pages must be submitted to Office Admin at end of shift.Provide assistance to operational floor.Identify orders that are available or pending for release on Knapp system.Ensure that staff in the warehouse operations are monitored on the system in line with their productivity.Assist in resolving Scanner equipment errors and faults.Ensure that orders are completed processed and invoiced after picking.Update management wrt daily Operational Report Statuses.Provide assistance to the Checkers where there are damaged products identified on the belts.Ensure that all stock losses are investigated and reported on.Ensure that assistance and control is provided to the Checkers.Ensure that control of the Knapp system is maintained at all times.Ensure daily health checks are done e.g. (Transfer are completed, Open orders are completed).Experience and Education:Relevant Tertiary Qualifications/ Supply Chain Management qualification (Advantageous)2 years experience in a Pharmaceutical/ Distribution & Wholesale/ FMCG/ Supply Chain & Logistic environment (Essential) with WMS experienceSAP and KNAPP experience will be highly advantageousJob related knowledge and skills:SAP and KNAPP systems knowledgeComputer skills on MS Office (Word and Excel)Product knowledgeRelated experience in the Pharmaceutical/FMCG IndustryCommunicate effectively at all levelsAccuracy and detail orientatedStrong planning and co-coordinating skillsAbility to work in a teamAbility to work under pressure / time deadlinesResilience and FlexibleTime managementAbility to work on excel reports and drive efficiencies
