Job Description: KFC Shift Supervisor Role
Location: Western Cape
Position: Shift Supervisor
As a KFC Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the effective running of restaurant shifts, ensuring compliance with KFC's high standards of operational efficiency, customer service, and profitability. You will also play a key role in maintaining the restaurant's cleanliness, hospitality, accuracy, maintenance, product quality, and speed of service, while fostering a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Standards: Assist the Restaurant General Manager (RGM) in achieving Customer standards (Cleanliness, Hospitality, Accuracy, Maintenance, Product, Speed of Service).
Shift Management: Manage shifts according to company policies, ensuring smooth operations, maximizing sales, and profitability.
Team Supervision: Allocate tasks to team members, monitor performance, provide coaching, and ensure team engagement.
Maintenance and Repairs: Ensure proper maintenance procedures are followed, reporting any necessary repairs to the RGM.
Safety and Security: Implement controls to ensure the safety and security of employees, customers, property, and company assets.
Training and Development: Assist in staff training programs to enhance performance and career development.
Customer Service: Resolve customer complaints and ensure a high level of satisfaction.
Reporting: Report any operational issues or employee-related concerns to the RGM or Area Manager.
Financial Responsibilities: Handle cash, manage expenses, and ensure proper stock control.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to KFC policies, health regulations, and safety standards.
Skills & Competencies:
Excellent command of English and strong communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and POS systems (GAAP).
Strong numeracy and financial literacy.
Leadership and teamwork abilities, with a focus on developing others.
Problem-solving, planning, and organizing skills.
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Strong sense of urgency, resilience, and accountability.
Minimum Requirements:
Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent qualification.
Minimum 12 months to 2 years supervisory experience in the fast-food industry (McDonald's, Hungry Lion, Chicken Licken, etc.).
South African citizen with valid ID and clear criminal record.

Availability to work shifts, public holidays, and weekends.
